A-G Diploma Program Counselor

Mrs. Delgado is an A-G Counselor at Gardena High School. Mrs. Delgado has been with LAUSD for the past 5 years servicing Local District South. She graduated from CSULB with her MSW in 2016, her BASW in 2015 and obtained her LCSW in 2021. 
Mrs. Delgado services students who have been identified as missing 3 or more A-G classes. Some of the services offered by Mrs. Delgado include: case management, attendance monitoring, help speaking to teachers, referrals to tutoring, referrals for any services you may need like counseling, health, or any other support services. Mrs. Delgado also assist with alternative education referrals, credit recovery, and much more.

11th Grade: 105 Credits 
12th Grade: 160 Credits 
Graduation: 210 Credits

- Reach out to your academic counselor or A-G Counselor for additional support
- Your Edgenuity class is due October 2021 
- Students who are not active on Edgenuity will have their course removed

Ms. Barcenas: 


Hello Gardena Panthers!


My name is Ms. Barcenas and I am an intern Counselor for the A-G Program at Gardena High School. I’m excited to work with some of you this academic year! As an A-G Counselor, some of my roles may include case management, attendance monitoring, helping connect you with supportive resources, as well as working alongside other staff at Gardena HS to support you.


I am currently a graduate student at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Critical Diversity Studies with a minor in Latinx/Chicanx Studies at the University of San Francisco (USF) in 2018.

Ms. Rosas: 


Ms. Rosas is an MSW Intern at Gardena High School. Ms. Rosas is pursuing a career in the School of Social Work. She is currently attending CSULB and is set to graduate with her MSW in 2022. Ms. Rosas received her BASW in CSULA in 2014.


Ms. Rosas will be providing different services such as case management, referrals, or any other support that is needed.

Ms. Zelaya: 


Ms. Zelaya is a Masters of Social Work Intern at Gardena Senior High school. She will be working with Ms. Delgado and service students in through the A-G Diploma Program. Ms. Zelaya is currently a second year MSW student at California State University, Long beach where she is expected to graduate in 2022. Ms. Zelaya obtained her Bachelors in Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2019.
