The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), in partnership with Inspire Health/Kokomo, is providing a comprehensive school-based telehealth program encompassing physical telehealth services.
The purpose of a school-based program is to expand a student's ability to access health care when not feeling well during school hours (7:00 am to 5:00 pm), with parental consent and a registered school nurse (RN) and/or a licensed vocational nurse (LVN), all while remaining in school and focusing on learning. Treatment for headaches, stomachaches, or a rash may facilitate a telehealth session.
Once parents sign and return the consent to the school, students will have the opportunity to receive medical services at school, when not feeling well.
Below is some information about the services that will be provided at your student’s school:
- For a quick overview video, please watch this video.
- Services include: treatment recommendations, prescriptions and/or over the counter medication when needed, and care coordination to appropriate referrals.
- Services are provided at no-cost when you opt-in for services by returning the consent form sent home with your student or that can be found at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MLr7GEl468vMz9iSOVI9l4VOX9fAhKaB/view
