Dear Families, We are committed to fostering the well-being of every student in our school community. To support this goal, we are excited to introduce the SEL Restorative Activity Plan, designed to strengthen social-emotional learning (SEL) and provide additional support for students referred by their teachers. Through this plan, our trained support staff will engage students in activities that promote self awareness, emotional regulation, and positive relationship skills. These activities will address both counseling and behavioral needs, helping students build resilience and succeed both in and out of the classroom.

The LA Unified 2025: We Are One campaign formalizes and amplifies the District’s efforts to cultivate welcoming learning environments for all students.

Per the November 2024 LA Unified Board Resolutions, the District is a “sanctuary district” and safe zone for families threatened by immigration enforcement. The District has protocols for responding to immigration personnel requests for information about students, families, and staff.

LA Unified policies reaffirmed in November 2024 outline the following:

The District stands in unity with all of the students, families, and staff in our school communities and embraces Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion throughout the District. The District will do everything in its power to protect and defend students, families, and staff, and will defend all students’ right to a public education. Every District site will be a place of support and resources for all students and families, regardless of immigration status and any other protected groups in alignment with the District’s Nondiscrimination Policy.

Welcome to the official LAUSD page for all things financial aid. This page is designed to support counselors, families, and students with resources to ensure that every eligible LAUSD senior receives the maximum amount of Financial Aid possible.

All seniors are encouraged to use the Financial Aid Success Toolkit (F.A.S.T.) information and complete the FAFSA/CADAA application. See your college or school counselor today for support if necessary.

The LAUSD Food Services Division will introduce a new cafeteria computer system called the Heartland Solutions Newton System starting January 2025. This new system will provide more tools for efficient cafeteria operations. The implementation of this system will help students move faster through the service lines and have quicker checkout at the cashier’s station.

The Family Academy is designed to leverage families’ assets to be empowered as they support their child from the early primary years to college and career success. This effort will complement family knowledge by connecting them to actionable learning focused on their child’s development, as well as opportunities to accelerate their own careers and quality of livelihood.

Los Angeles Unified is committed to providing every student in our District with a safe learning environment. As a part of the Every School Safe: Blueprint for Safety, throughout the 2024-2025 school year, students will be taught strategies to help them recognize concerns and how to ask for help. Students throughout LAUSD will participate in the six (6) presentations.

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), in partnership with Inspire Health/Kokomo, is providing a comprehensive school-based telehealth program encompassing physical telehealth services when students are feeling unwell, based on parent signed consent.

The purpose is to keep students in school, when possible, by expanding access to health care during school hours.
