Black Student Achievement
On Tuesday, February 9, the board approved the reduction of the school police budget and a plan to reinvest those funds, and additional resources, into targeted support for black students and their families. Based on established district criteria for our population of black students (ie. enrollment, chronic absenteeism, discipline referrals, academic proficiency, school experience survey data), Gardena High School was selected to receive support staff as outlined in the Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP).

To be considered, please submit the form if you're interested in participating in the BSAP to develop and monitor strategies to improve achievement and provide recommendatiions.
